Info About Mancala Game

Mancala is a traditional board game, played across several cultures throughout history and most of Asia, especially Africa. The game, based on strategy, involves moving stones or seeds around a board of small pits (also known as houses) and large pits (called mancalas or stores), which are the player’s score area.

The most widely known variation of mancala is kalah, where each player has six small pits on their side and takes all the stones from one pit and sows one by one in each subsequent pit. In mancala, it’s about collecting the most stones. If the last stone you drop lands in a gap, that stone and all the stones in the opposite pit are taken. When one player has only stones left on their side of the board, the player with the most stones is the winner.

Mancala is a no-nonsense, deep strategic game, which means players must anticipate their opponent’s moves and plan ahead to maximize their chances of picking stones and controlling the board.
